Additionally, it seeks to enhance energy efficiency, maximize the utilization of heavy crude oil components, diversify product offerings, and ensure compliance with environmental standards.

Revamp of the Fluid Catalytic Cracking Unit

Rijeka Refinery — Urinj — Kostrena

The Rijeka Refinery, located in Urinj, Croatia, is an oil refinery that processes crude oil to produce fuels and refined petroleum products. The plant has undergone a major modernization project worth approximately €700 million, aimed at the construction of a Delayed Coking Unit and associated facilities. The project enables the refinery to process a wider range of crude oils, including heavier grades, with a capacity of up to approximately 4 million tonnes per year.
