Takoradi-Tema Interconnection Project (TTIP)

Spina has contributed to the completion of the first phase of the Takoradi-Tema Interconnection Project (TTIP), commissioned by Ghana National Petroleum Corporation – GNPC.

 

The project aims at doubling the flow of natural gas of Ghana Gas from the Aboadze power enclave for use by the various gas offtakers in the Tema-Accra power and industrial enclave.

The completion of the TTIP will reduce costs at the Tema thermal power plants by replacing liquid fuel used when gas runs short by all but one of the facilities, while increasing the predictability of gas supplies. The project also comprises the relocation of the 470-MW Karpower floating power plant from Tema to Sekondi, near Takoradi.

Spina has supplied cables, cable accessories, explosion proof material, pneumatics & fittings, cable trays, grounding material, lighting & poles, spare parts, expertly selected according to project specifications by of the dedicated technical office.
