The project aims to replace the temporary Let Down Station, installed in 2015, with permanent pressure reduction facilities at the expansion area of GS. Planned in phases, the Greater Tortue Ahmeyim LNG project will produce up to 10 million tonnes of LNG per year (Mtpa). A new drilling called Greater Tortue Ahmeyim-1 was carried out to a total depth of 4,884 meters in the eastern part of the Greater Tortue area, discovering 30 meters of net gas in a high-quality Albian reservoir in July 2019. This new discovery indicates the potential to expand the capacity of the LNG project beyond 10 Mtpa in the future.
