Situated in the Thi Qar province, approximately 5km northwest of Al-Refaei city and 85km north of Nasiriya, the Garraf oil field has an onshore location. Discovered in 1984, this oil field contains oil reserves within Cretaceous reservoirs. Spanning 17.5km in length and 5.5km in width, it is estimated to harbor 1.3 billion barrels of oil. Upon reaching full production, the field’s production capacity is projected to escalate to 230,000 barrels of oil per day (bopd). Transportation of the oil field’s products is facilitated through a 13km pipeline to the Gharraf-Badra tie-in area (GBTA). Subsequently, it is conveyed via a 28-inch, 92km pipeline to the Nassiriyah storage depot.

The New Port Harcourt Refinery — NPHR is an oil refining facility located in Alesa-Eleme, near Port Harcourt, Nigeria. Part of the Port Harcourt Refinery Complex, the plant has a nameplate capacity of approximately 150,000 bpd. The rehabilitation project is aimed at restoring the complex’s operational performance, increasing domestic fuel output and reducing Nigeria’s reliance on imported refined petroleum products.

In production since 2004, In Salah Gas is a joint venture between Sonatrach, BP and Statoil (now Equinor). It is Algeria’s largest dry natural gas joint venture and one of the country’s key gas export projects supplying Southern Europe. The project has a production capacity of approximately 9 billion cubic metres of dry natural gas per year from seven gas fields located in the central Algerian Sahara.
