SAIPEM 7000

The Saipem 7000 is a semi-submersible crane and pipelaying vessel operating within the Saipem fleet. The unit is designed to support complex offshore projects through heavy-lift operations, offshore structure installation, subsea works and J-lay pipelaying activities. Equipped with an advanced dynamic positioning system, two main cranes with a lifting capacity of up to 14,000 t in tandem lift, and pipelaying capability in water depths exceeding 2,000 m, the Saipem 7000 is deployed on conventional, deepwater and ultra-deepwater offshore projects worldwide.

AIN TSILA GAS FIELD DEVELOPMENT

Ain Tsila is a gas condensate field situated in the Illizi Basin, Algeria, located within the Isarene permit in Blocks 228 and 229a. The Ain Tsila field boasts reserves amounting to 2.1 trillion cubic feet of sales gas, alongside 67 million barrels of condensate and 108 million barrels of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG). Discovered in 2009 through the successful drilling of the Ain Tsila-1 well, this gas condensate field garnered significant recognition, ranking as the ninth-largest discovery globally for that year. Spanning an extensive area exceeding 1,000 square kilometers, Ain Tsila represents a substantial addition to the energy landscape.

The KIMA Project is an expansion of the Egyptian Chemical Industries (KIMA) industrial complex in Aswan, Egypt. The project aims to increase the production of nitrogen-based fertilizers for domestic and international markets while improving the plant’s energy efficiency through the use of natural gas as feedstock.
