The Elephant Field (also known as El Feel Field) is an onshore oil field located in Libya’s Murzuq Basin. Operated by Agip Oil Company, a joint venture between NOC and Eni, the field was discovered in 1997 and started production in 2004.

The project aims to replace the temporary Let Down Station, installed in 2015, with permanent pressure reduction facilities at the expansion area of GS. This upgrade is intended to transport gas to the local market and supply the existing Sirte Oil Company (SOC) coastal gas pipeline with an increased capacity of 19.5 MSm3/d of sales gas at a higher pressure of 51 Bar.

The Saipem 7000 is a semi-submersible crane and pipelaying vessel operating within the Saipem fleet. The unit is designed to support complex offshore projects through heavy-lift operations, offshore structure installation, subsea works and J-lay pipelaying activities. Equipped with an advanced dynamic positioning system, two main cranes with a lifting capacity of up to 14,000 t in tandem lift, and pipelaying capability in water depths exceeding 2,000 m, the Saipem 7000 is deployed on conventional, deepwater and ultra-deepwater offshore projects worldwide.
